Amergis is seeking a skilled Behavior Specialist to join our team. This role involves facilitating educational and behavioral services with children and adults with special needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing behavior management techniques in prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies
  • Providing crisis intervention and reviewing behavior intervention plans
  • Assisting in facilitating academic instruction and development plans for students
  • Documenting sessions according to policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of pediatric experience (preferred)
  • Compliance with professional standards of practice
  • Participation in Amergis' Competency program
  • CPR certification (if applicable)
