Focus Staff is seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a travel nursing assignment in Illinois.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly experienced OR RN to work as a circulating and scrub nurse in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aseptic and sterile techniques, patient safety, and surgical operation procedures.
- Assess patients prior to surgery and alleviate their concerns
- Monitor patient's vital signs to detect anomalies
- Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned
- Evaluate patient in postoperative phases
- Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operation
The successful candidate will possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail, with a strong knowledge of operating procedures and patient safety. Being compassionate and sensitive is a prerequisite for this role.
Requirements- Proven experience as an operating room nurse (circulating and scrub)
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
- In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures
- AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers
