Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at South Coast Education Service District. The successful candidate will provide therapy services to eligible students, facilitating their ability to function in the educational setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluation and intervention services to eligible children and coordinate program services with existing special education programs.
  • Work closely with parents, teachers, and community resources involved in students' education to provide optimum services.
  • Construct or order adaptive devices according to individual student needs and provide instruction on its proper care and use.
  • Perform duties in a manner reasonably expected and generally recognized by the profession.
Requirements
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Oregon, or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and communicate with other agencies, parents, and staff members.
  • Ability to assess physical limitations and psycho-social needs of individual students.
Working Conditions

The employee may work in regular or special education settings and/or in community settings with students in small or large groups or 1-to-1 and may be required to travel on the job.

The employee may work beyond an eight-hour day or a five-day work week attending meetings, conferences, and school activities.
