Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Pharmacy Operations to join our team at Optum. As a key member of our pharmacy leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our infusion pharmacy, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and Manage Pharmacy Staff: Lead and direct a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor and analyze pharmacy operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, maintaining a high level of quality in all aspects of pharmacy operations.
- Leadership and Development: Foster a culture of excellence, providing guidance and support to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical and operational leaders, to ensure seamless integration of pharmacy services.
Requirements
- Education and Licensure: Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree, current and unrestricted Ohio Pharmacist License.
- Experience: 3+ years of active pharmacist experience, 1+ year of experience leading, overseeing, or supervising tasks/projects of pharmacy staff.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmacy Automation Experience: Familiarity with automated pharmacy systems and technology.
- Home Infusion Experience: 2+ years of experience in home infusion pharmacy settings.
- CPR+ Pharmacy Dispensing Platform: Experience with CPR+ pharmacy dispensing platform.
