Electrical Controls Technician

KnowHireMatch is seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on low- and medium-voltage motor control systems and Siemens/Rockwell drive systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment using PLC interfaces and electronic/electrical drawings.
  • Assist in the installation, start-up, and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and contribute to the development of safety and operational procedures.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology or military-equivalent electronics training.
  • Strong physical capability to work in a manufacturing environment, including lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Experience with NFPA 70E/NEC safety standards and the ability to read electronic/electrical drawings.
  • Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required.
Preferred:
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting with controls automation, electrical/mechanical repairs, and PLC interfaces.
  • Knowledge of PLC logic, industrial automation, hydraulics, pneumatics, and systematic troubleshooting.
