Job Summary

The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing daily financial activities, including invoicing, sub-contract management, and financial reporting for the SDFR Policy Research and its grant programs. This role also involves working with School of Agriculture directors and staff to develop and deliver training, education, and outreach activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage post-award functions for the Policy Center's grants/cooperative agreements program, including proposal budget review, sub-award initiation and execution, and review and approval of sub-award invoices for fiscal compliance.
  • Coordinate sub-award agreement modification requests and amendments, and recommend execution as appropriate under the direction of Policy Center Directors with guidance from the Office of Sponsored Programs.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts with Policy Center staff and leadership to effectively educate stakeholders about Policy Center activities and impacts.
  • Coordinate training of SDFR provided by the Policy Center (Farm Bill and impact of policy on SDFRs).
  • Coordinate financial management of Policy Center and Competitive Grant Programs, compiling financial reports, creating annual program budgets, etc.
  • Prepare and make presentations.
Requirements

The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus three years of relevant professional experience, or a master's degree. Relevant disciplines include Business Management, Agriculture, Economics, etc...
