Job Title: Swim Instructor

Join Northern Kentucky University's Campus Recreation team as a Swim Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Swim Instructor to teach people of all ages the importance of water safety and proper swimming techniques. As a Swim Instructor, you will provide quality instruction for our group and private swim lesson programs, utilizing the American Red Cross Learn to Swim program. You will also maintain the necessary certifications and physical fitness required by industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality instruction for group and private swim lesson programs.
  • Knowledge of teaching methods and course requirements outlined by the American Red Cross Learn to Swim program.
  • Keep records of students and classes taught and report all certifications to the Coordinator of Aquatics.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year teaching swim lessons or team teaching with another experienced instructor for at least 2-4 sessions.
  • Water Safety Instructor certification or equivalent certification is preferred, not required.
  • Lifeguard certification.
