Compensation and Benefits

  • The hourly wage for this role is $30.25.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for benefits after a 90-day period.
  • A 401(k) plan with company matching is available for full-time staff after one year of service.

Position Highlights

  • This is a contract role with the potential for permanent placement based on attendance, performance, and organizational needs.
  • Availability to work a block schedule from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM, seven days a week, is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care that includes accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health issues, health counseling, and planning for patient care. This encompasses education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
  • Conduct phlebotomy and specimen collection.
  • Administer vaccinations and injections (including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, and TB) while providing evidence-based counseling and education to patients and parents.
  • Evaluate patients during the intake process.
  • Measure vital signs.
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as EKGs and retinopathy screenings.
  • Conduct point-of-care testing, including COVID testing.
  • Manage patient registration and intake, assist with waiting room operations, and undertake other duties to enhance the patient experience.
  • Order necessary equipment and prepare the clinic to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare environment.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record documentation is essential.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Consistent attendance is required during the initial 90 days.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Phlebotomy certification or relevant experience is preferred. If lacking experience, successful completion of internal phlebotomy training is necessary.
