Responsibilities- Assist with patient examinations and treatments under the direction of a provider.
- Perform select clinical duties, including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patients' charts.
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Assist with basic clerical duties, including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
- Perform basic materials management functions, including ordering and stocking of supplies.
- Document the provider's encounter with patients, including listing all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Medical Assistant certification obtained within 3 months of hire date or job transfer date required.
- High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
