Psychiatrist IV

County of San Bernardino, CA is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist IV to join our team. As a Psychiatrist IV, you will be responsible for providing medical care to adult and/or child and adolescent patients in outpatient clinics. Your duties will include conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments/evaluations and mental status examinations (MSEs), providing multi-axial diagnoses, and developing and implementing individualized mental health treatment plans.

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments/evaluations and mental status examinations (MSEs)
• Provide multi-axial diagnoses
• Develop and implement individualized mental health treatment plans
• Supervise Psychiatrists I, II, and III in their assigned clinics
• Assign and review work and train staff
• Participate in state level committees to develop policies and advise the Medical Director and administration regarding issues with the evaluation and treatment of mental health patients

• Graduation from an accredited school of medicine
• Completion of a residency in psychiatry approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education
• Possession of a valid Physician's and Surgeon's certificate issued by the Medical Board of California or the Osteopathic Medical Board of California
• Possession of a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate
• One (1) year of full-time experience as a full-scope supervisor, which included responsibility for hiring, disciplinary actions, and work performance evaluations

• Certification as a Diplomate by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating in multidisciplinary treatment teams and developing strong relationships with community providers
