Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Envision Unlimited. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and operational.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires strong organizational and technical skills. You will work independently to diagnose and repair vehicle problems, as well as maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the overall mechanical condition of vehicles and diagnose fleet vehicle problems.
  • Inspect vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Analyze fleet maintenance requirements to determine immediate and long-term needs for safety.
  • Perform preventative and special maintenance and repairs for fleet vehicles.
  • Monitor fleet maintenance requirements (e.g., emission testing).
  • Respond to emergency vehicle situations and vehicle breakdowns in the field. Arrange for towing service or other necessary repairs.
  • Document vehicle repair, maintenance, and inspections. Prepare written materials (e.g., reports, memos, etc.) as needed.
  • Identify and place orders for repair/replacement parts for vehicles. Complete necessary documentation.
  • Ensure that all vehicles comply with state and local requirements. Track and order license plate and city sticker renewals.
  • Manage, maintain, and deliver, as needed, all on-site agency records.
Requirements
  • Two years of medium-duty truck/bus repair and maintenance experience; valid Class B commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement; must meet DOT requirements in a certificate of qualifications.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to create a database of clients.
