We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health in Bridgeview, Illinois.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on night shifts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients, administering respiratory procedures and modalities as needed, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Utilize advanced respiratory therapy processes to assess patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Operate specialized ventilators in critical and non-critical care environments, assisting physicians with bedside procedures as necessary.
- Provide medication treatments and therapies according to physician orders and patient-driven protocols.
- Clean, maintain, and ensure proper functionality of equipment, identifying the need for service and/or repair.
- Educate and instruct patients on disease management, goal-setting, and self-care techniques.
- Facilitate clinical problem-solving and collaborate with other departments to provide education on managing patients.
- RCP license issued by the state in which you practice.
- Active RRT credential issued by the NBRC within 12 months or active CRT credential if received prior to January 1, 2023.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
We offer a competitive salary range of $73,000 - $91,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive:
