We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Faculty Group Practice Patient Care Assistant to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our faculty group practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to our faculty group practice, including greeting patients, completing check-in and check-out processes, and answering phones.
- Assist with clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs, recording patient information, and collecting lab specimens.
- Support efficient patient workflows by escorting patients to exam rooms and preparing rooms for provider visits.
- Validate patient medical records and ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the smooth operation of our faculty group practice.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Patient Care Assistant or Medical Assistant within the last two years.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a team work environment.
- Working knowledge of English is evident in verbal, reading and writing abilities; other language an asset.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Proficiency in venipuncture and phlebotomy preferred.
