**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. **Job Responsibilities:**

  • Execute routine and specialized diagnostic radiologic procedures, demonstrating expertise in general radiology, fluoroscopy, and other imaging modalities.
  • Select accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis, ensuring high-quality images and minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient, adhering to Joint Commission, State, Federal, and departmental regulatory compliance standards.
  • Actively participate in the Clinical Ladder Program, meeting and maintaining all Program standards and requirements.
  • Apply knowledge of radiology principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation protection, and physics, to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Document accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems.
  • Maintain a safe and appropriate work environment, ensuring supplies and inventory are up-to-date and reporting related equipment/environmental problems according to policy.
  • Participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives, contributing to workflow improvements, patient experience, and quality enhancements.

**Qualifications:**

  • Associate Degree or Certificate in radiologic technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) or Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • 2+ years of experience in radiologic imaging.
  • Registered with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
  • Licensed Radiographer - State of MD.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification.
