Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Patterns LLC. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized ultrasound procedures, ensuring high-quality images and excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients correctly for ultrasound examinations, adhering to established protocols and documentation requirements.
  • Assume responsibility for designated areas and procedures, producing high-quality images and reviewing completed exams for quality and completeness.
  • Assist physicians during procedures as needed, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Perform equipment quality assurance and calibrations, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
  • May be required to work in emergency situations or cover shifts as needed to maintain adequate departmental coverage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, reporting any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Process images and print CDs as required, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Perform routine office duties, including answering phones, checking previous reports, and documenting patient information.
  • Notify transport personnel when patients are ready for pickup or return to floors.
  • Communicate with radiologists and attending physicians, documenting communications as necessary.
  • May be assigned as an instructor or preceptor, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
  • Treat all individuals with professionalism and courtesy, upholding the company's behavioral standards.
  • Introduce yourself and educate patients regarding the examination, ensuring clear understanding and comfort.
  • Provide care based on the age, physical, and psychosocial needs of diverse patient populations.
  • Perform other related duties as required, attending staff meetings and in-services.
Requirements
  • ARDMS certification required for ACR accreditation compliance, or ARRT (s) or RT (VS) certification.
  • Experience preferred, with a strong commitment to continuing education and professional development.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association required or must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time, with occasional movement to access patients and paperwork.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
  • Frequently communicates with patients regarding their bills and financial obligations.
  • May be exposed to chemicals necessary for task completion, with access to the hospital's SDS database for safety information.
