The role of the Physical Design Engineer within the EPC Division is crucial, involving providing comprehensive support for all stages of substation design projects, from initial sales activities to project completion and ongoing management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of substation proposals, bills of material, and design opportunities for current projects.
- Review equipment specifications and evaluate vendor proposals.
- Utilize AutoCAD Design Software and adapt vendor drawings into project designs.
- Participate in pre-bid and customer meetings for design discussions and scheduling.
- Establish quality control measures and design metrics for long-term management.
- Collaborate with vendors to enhance project outcomes.
- Offer cost-effective design solutions for various projects.
- Assist in writing technical documentation and providing design support to project management.
- Oversee project design efforts from start to finish.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred, or equivalent Technical Degree or relevant experience.
- Experience in Substation Design.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Design Software.
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally.
