Job Title: Registered Dietitian

At Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi, we are committed to promoting health and wellness in our community. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Dietitian to join our team as a Blue Wellness Coach.

Job Summary:

The Blue Wellness Coach will be responsible for supporting health and wellness initiatives through health education and training for employees, groups, providers, and community business partners in their region(s). The incumbent will provide education and coaching regarding healthy lifestyle practices and chronic health conditions in support of Corporate Health and Wellness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health education programs for employees, groups, and community partners.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching and counseling to individuals on healthy lifestyle practices and chronic health conditions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations to promote health and wellness initiatives.
  • Conduct health risk assessments and develop personalized wellness plans for employees and community members.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and wellness programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.
  • Experience providing health-related counseling to clients and understanding the importance of cultural competencies in addressing targeted populations.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills to interpret and assess individuals and provide responses in a tactful, motivational manner.
  • Ability to document and organize work product to demonstrate conformance with corporate or regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the state of Mississippi.
