The Nursing Care Specialist at Home of Hope is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to clients in a geriatric setting. This role requires a strong understanding of nursing principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities- Client Care: Provide individualized nursing care to clients, including assessing their needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions to promote their health and well-being.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless client care, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses.
- Documentation: Accurately and thoroughly document client information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure that client needs are met and that care is coordinated.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving skills to address complex client needs and situations.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: One year of experience in geriatric nursing and/or area of specialty preferred.
- Certifications: Valid registration as a RN in the State of Oklahoma and current AHA Healthcare Provider training (BCLS).
- Physical Demands: Intermittent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, and supporting clients.
- Exposure to Infection: Exposed to virus, disease, and infection from clients and specimens in the working environment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work at any facility and be responsible for own transportation, and to rotate shifts, standby, and on-call as needed.
