About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a Power Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and integrating VAC power supplies and batteries within industrial automation products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical connections for industrial electrical AC/DC and DC/DC cabinets with voltages in the VAC and 5-60VDC ranges.
  • Review and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards such as NFPA79 and UL508a.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to execute product designs from concept to production, including design, prototyping, validation, testing, and certification.
  • Specify, integrate, and deploy AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies as part of Electrical Control Panels in industrial automation equipment.
  • Specify, integrate, and deploy semi-custom batteries and supercapacitors in industrial automation systems.
  • Ensure that the specifications of the power system meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate all activities within the engineering discipline for the project.
  • Ensure effective coordination with other disciplines for each project.
A Day in the Life

You will engage with external suppliers to understand their products and integrate them into robotic systems. You will collaborate with suppliers to design engineering test systems for these products. You will leverage your industry experience and deep dive customer and regulatory demands to integrate these new products into our custom automation systems.

You will participate in an interdisciplinary team working to iterate on the design, optimizing across cost, schedule, and time to market. You will work closely with the Electrical Engineering Manager to ensure the successful execution of the project.
