High Risk Breast Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UMMS Providers/Physicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in breast cancer care and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to high-risk breast patients, including genetic evaluations, family history, breast pain, high-risk lesions, pre-cancer abnormal mammograms, and surveillance.
- Independently provide care in an outpatient setting, seeing approximately 10-15 patients per day, including new patients and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including breast surgeons, general surgeons, medical oncology, radiation oncology, and compassionate support and ancillary staff.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account patient preferences and values.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines in breast cancer care, and incorporate this knowledge into practice.
- Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Two (2) years of proven experience working as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in oncology or women's health.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse.
- Current NRP and PALS certifications.
- DEA and CDS eligibility.
