Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Opportunities for both part-time and full-time positions)

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate ranging from $30 to $38

Aspire Living & Learning is in search of a Kinesiology Educator to join our Approved Private Special Education Programs (ALL Academy), providing essential services to children with unique educational needs.

The Kinesiology Educator at Aspire Living & Learning plays a crucial role in crafting and delivering tailored instruction to address the diverse needs of students with autism spectrum disorders and other disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate students' motor skills to identify strengths and areas for improvement in physical education.
  • Develop a curriculum centered on physical activity, human movement, fitness, and healthy lifestyle choices, ensuring compliance with educational standards.
  • Create a secure and encouraging learning environment where students can exhibit responsible behavior during physical activities.
  • Track and document each student's progress through report cards, with additional monitoring for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as necessary.
  • Prepare and present progress reports for team meetings as requested by educational leadership or parents.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture to enhance team morale and productivity.
  • Engage in training sessions as directed by management to improve skills relevant to the role.
  • Conduct training as assigned.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors to ensure smooth organizational operations.
  • Be adaptable to reassignment as needed.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred certifications: CT. Certification #044 in Physical Education and/or #043 in Health PK-12.
  • Familiarity with Physical Education standards and curriculum.
  • Successful completion of background checks.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Working Conditions:

Expectations include:
  • Primary duties conducted in the school gymnasium, with responsibilities to supervise students during both indoor and outdoor physical activities.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors, requiring patience, empathy, and effective behavior management techniques.
  • Physical demands of the job include bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
  • Potential travel may be required.
