Role Summary
The SAP S/4 EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) consultant is essential for the effective implementation, configuration, and enhancement of the SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management module within an organization. This role involves providing both technical and functional support for the SAP EWM module, collaborating with various teams to understand business processes, and offering expertise to optimize warehouse operations, enhance inventory management, and improve supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements to determine the optimal SAP EWM solution.
- Design, configure, test, and implement SAP EWM software tailored to business needs, focusing on functionalities such as:
- Goods Receipt of Purchase Orders, Vendor Returns, Stock Transport Orders
- Delivery and Goods Issues related to Sales Orders and Customer Returns
- Goods Issues and Receipts for Production Orders
- Transfer postings
- Availability checks and batch determinations
- Inbound and Outbound forms
- RF Framework
- Work in conjunction with other SAP functional consultants to ensure seamless integration with additional SAP modules like SAP MM, SAP TM, and SAP SD.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including functional specifications, technical specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Offer technical and functional support for SAP EWM modules, covering inventory management, warehouse management, and transportation management.
- Conduct end-user training and provide ongoing support throughout and after the SAP EWM software implementation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Over 12 years of experience in SAP EWM implementation and support.
- At least 2-3 full lifecycle S/4 Migration experiences.
- Strong understanding of SAP technologies, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP Ariba, SAP Cloud Platform, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Familiarity with SAP implementation methodologies such as ASAP, Agile, and Waterfall.
- Knowledge of architecture and development methodologies.
- Experience with SAP BTP, Business Application Studio, and ABAP.
- Preferred SAP certifications and training.
- Current awareness of industry trends and the ability to apply this knowledge to application development design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with business stakeholders, IT personnel, and vendors.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience in leading and managing technical teams.
