The Assistant Professor of Nursing position at Atrium Health is a key role in advancing the mission of the institution. As a member of the faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and facilitating student learning, with a primary emphasis on growth in teaching.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Develop and deliver high-quality educational programs, utilizing a variety of active learning strategies and assessments to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to build degree programs that embody coherent courses of study and allow students to progressively build upon and integrate their knowledge and skills.
- Education, Training, and Experience: Possess a master's degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university, with a doctorate preferred. Completion of a certificate program in nursing education or nine semester hours of education coursework or a national certification in nursing education is required. Current or eligible North Carolina RN license is required, along with at least two years of full-time nursing clinical experience and three years of full-time instructional experience.
- Documented evidence of high-level competence in teaching and teaching-related activities.
- Ability to work closely with the Program Chair in advancing the mission of the College.
- Documented service to one's community, profession, and College.
