About the Position

We are seeking a board-certified psychiatrist with a strong background in psychiatric care to provide telepsychiatric services to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in medicine (MD or DO) and be licensed to practice in the state of Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling, psychotherapy, hospitalization, and medication.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide telepsychiatric services to patients at Red River Hospital.
  2. Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  3. Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  4. Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  5. Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  6. Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services, and information in a timely manner.
  7. Maintain confidential documentation, compliance, and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
