Role Summary: As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering and coordinating essential medical services while fostering a positive experience for patients within our facility. Your responsibilities will encompass both administrative and clinical tasks.

Compensation Range:

  • $16 to $19 per hour

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current medical assistant certification from an accredited institution and/or relevant transcripts
  • Prior experience as a medical assistant
  • Commitment to maintaining required continuing education credits
  • Ability to administer medications
  • CPR, First Aid, and BLS certification
  • Additional state-specific requirements may apply

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited post-secondary medical assisting program
  • Current certification from recognized certifying bodies such as AAMA, AMT, or NCCT
  • Experience or knowledge in behavioral health is advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the intake team to ensure timely patient care
  • Monitor urine samples for drug screening and manage laboratory submissions
  • Measure and report vital signs to nursing staff as necessary
  • Schedule patient appointments for physician consultations and follow-up care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Assist in the procurement and management of medical supplies
  • Provide educational support to pregnant patients regarding prenatal care
  • Participate in team meetings and complete required training promptly
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
