Job Title: Trial Paralegal

**Job Summary:**

The Law Offices of Kanner & Pintaluga P A is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trial Paralegal to join our team in a dynamic and rapidly growing personal injury and property damage law firm. As a Trial Paralegal, you will work directly with our attorneys to assist them with ongoing cases and prepare them for trial if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Maintain attorney's calendar, schedule depositions, pre-depositions, meetings, mediations, and hearings.
  • Document Management: Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, and SmartAdvocate to manage and maintain all case files.
  • E-Filing: E-file legal documents in Florida's E-Portal System.
  • Pre-Trial Preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences.
  • Document Drafting: Draft legal court documents, such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery demands/responses, and subpoenas.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients regarding case updates and progress.
  • Logistics: Set up Court Call or Zoom for hearings, prepare Trial Notebooks and Exhibit Lists, and retain experts for trial.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete trial logistic tasks and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Full-time, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, M-F.
  • 2+ years of paralegal experience.
  • Experience with the discovery process.
  • Experience e-filing in both state and federal courts a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate with clients and co-workers effectively and efficiently.
  • Possess excellent organization skills and be able to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to be cross-trained.
  • Experience with reviewing medical records/bills and coordinating appearances at trial preferred but not required.
