Job Summary:

The Nursing Assistant will work under the direction of the Charge Nurse to provide safe and age-appropriate care to residents. This includes performing basic resident care functions, such as ADLs, ambulation, vital signs, and approved technical procedures. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and organized environment, providing emotional support to residents and families, and participating in resident rounding per standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide resident care according to the written Plan of Care.
  • Assist Charge Nurse/Manager and other members of the healthcare team with care delivery as assigned.
  • Perform basic housekeeping duties in the immediate area of the patients' room and bath.
  • Ensure that safety hazards related to fall risk are removed or controlled.
  • Provide emotional support for the resident and family.
  • Participate in resident rounding per standards.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Less than 1 year related experience preferred.
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
