About the JobWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a genuine interest in geriatric nursing to join our team. As a Geriatric Nursing Care Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring quality care for our patients by following physician's orders, state and federal regulations, and our facility's policies and procedures.
- You will administer medications as ordered by medical doctors and adhere to facility protocols.
- Lead, guide, and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies to ensure seamless patient care.
- Assist physicians with rounds, draping, and caring for patients during medical examinations and treatments.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
- A valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and proof of renewal every two years.
- CPR certification annually.
- Ability to work well with other departments and staff members, demonstrating patience, understanding, and tact when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
