Optalis Healthcare is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Shelby Health and Rehabilitation. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in delivering direct care to patients, maintaining their comfort and safety, and adhering to departmental policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will include providing physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, answering patient calls, and ensuring patients receive appropriate diet. You will also be responsible for recording vital signs, examining patients for issues requiring medical care, and noting observations of patient behavior. To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to think and work independently, communicate effectively with staff members, and maintain patient confidentiality. Requirements:
  • State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
  • COVID 19 Vaccination or Exemption
  • Ability to think and work independently and with direction, and communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Valid identification
  • Comfortable using a computer
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in long term care
  • Prior experience with Infection Control
