Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and support to hourly employees, addressing performance behaviors and encouraging positive contributions to the team.
  • Quality and Productivity: Utilize the Quality Network problem-solving process to identify and address opportunities for improvement, engaging the workforce in the process.
  • Workplace Organization: Apply the Workplace Organization (WPO) process to optimize layouts and improve efficiency, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
  • Timekeeping and Payroll: Perform daily updates to the Timekeeping System (TKS) to ensure accurate processing of payroll data.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Use the A-3 reporting format to document problem-solving activities and adhere to local guidelines.
  • Communication and Meetings: Conduct daily meetings to communicate business performance and facilitate two-way discussions with employees.
  • Safety and Compliance: Perform weekly safety observation tours, documenting findings and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and shop rules.
  • Shift Performance and Support: Plan daily workloads in advance and provide support to colleagues to optimize shift performance.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be familiar with quality and productivity improvement processes, as well as workplace organization and safety protocols.
