Microsoft Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Engineer to join our AI Frontiers Lab team in Redmond, WA and New York City, NY. As a Senior Research Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, improving, and exploring the capabilities of Generative AI models.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented Senior Research Engineer to contribute to the advancement of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) technologies. You will design, develop, execute, and implement technology research projects in collaboration with other researchers, engineers, and product groups.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and execute technology research projects in Generative AI and LLMs.
  • Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product groups to advance the state-of-the-art in Generative AI and LLMs.
  • Develop and implement large-scale machine learning pipelines and experiments.
  • Contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies and provide practical solutions to real-world problems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field and 4+ years of related research experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 6+ years of related research experience.
  • OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in creating, optimizing, and running large-scale machine learning pipelines.
  • Experience in running large-scale experiments with LLMs pre-training and/or fine-tuning.
  • Experience in building data collection and curation pipelines.
