Job Title: Project Engineer - Highway Design

RK&K is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our highway design team in the eastern United States. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to the project team with the design and preparation of transportation and highway civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design tasks to ensure deliverables are completed within budget and on schedule
  • Perform a wide variety of engineering tasks, including data collection, engineering studies and analysis, and the development of concept designs
  • Prepare engineering plans using prescribed methods
  • Work in a collaborative environment with a diverse, multi-disciplined project team
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project representatives
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in civil engineering on highway, transportation, and traffic-related projects
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Bluebeam and Microsoft office applications
  • Highly proficient with software including MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, AutoDesk/CADD, and Geopak
  • Familiarity with engineering guidelines and best practices
  • Confident communication and presentation ability
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
