Network Engineer Job Description

Optomi is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network infrastructure to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and propose solutions.
  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including Cisco switches and Fortinet firewalls.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls and VPNs.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure effective network management.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams and configurations.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to document systems, processes, and procedures thoroughly.
  • Strong communication and technical skills.
  • Ability to maintain a clean work environment.
  • Experience with network hardware and procurement.
  • Ability to track shipments and warranty service requests.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when using ticketing and purchasing systems.
  • Ability to maintain client data confidentiality.
