UCHealth is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the CVOR department. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Prepare the surgical operating suite with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Ensure the good working order of equipment and instruments, and assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
- Pass instruments to the physician during surgery, and account for the number and location of instruments and supplies throughout the procedure.
- Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
- Exercise critical thinking skills, make decisive judgments, and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent, or military training.
- State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration.
- 6 months of Surgical Tech experience or graduation from an accredited Surgical Tech program.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with a valid card in hand before start date.
