Job Summary

Staff Today APP is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant to fill a locum tenens position in Adult Medicine. This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated healthcare professional looking to make a difference in the lives of patients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including interviewing, examining, and diagnosing injuries and illnesses.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
  • Prescribe medications and recommend lifestyle changes to promote patient well-being.
  • Perform various medical procedures, including stitching wounds, setting bones, and administering immunizations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and progress notes.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on various health topics.
  • Stay current with the latest medical research, innovations, and advancements in the field.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant in Adult Medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
  • Compassionate and empathetic demeanor to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to interpret complex medical information.
  • CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Current certification in the state of Virginia.
