Job SummaryWe're seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician with a passion for surgery/anesthesia to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience monitoring anesthesia for veterinary patients, a solid skillset, and a commitment to growth and advancement. They will be passionate about providing excellence in surgical care and committed to providing the highest quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures by preparing surgical suites, equipment, instruments, and patients
- Monitor anesthesia administration and patient vital signs before, during, and after surgery
- Maintain a sterile environment and ensure proper sanitation of surgical instruments
- Provide post-operative care and recovery for surgical patients
- Assist in handling and restraining animals during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Part-time hours, surgery days (currently Mondays and Thursdays)
- No nights
- No weekends
- Salary: $28.00 per hour
