Job Purpose:
This role entails the technical repair and final quality assessment of designated Endoscopic units. The technician is expected to consistently achieve monthly repair objectives while strictly adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. This position demands the expertise, repair skills, and knowledge necessary to address the most complex endoscope repairs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Execute minor, major, and overhaul repairs on core Gastrointestinal (Endoscopic) equipment based on the findings from the Incoming Inspector.

2. Conduct repairs on specialized models such as Duodenoscopes, Zoom scopes, or EN scopes.

3. Diagnose issues, replace or repair components, conduct tests, and make necessary adjustments.

4. Assemble and disassemble intricate components of the endoscope, ensuring compliance with established specifications.


5. Perform final quality inspections on completed repairs to confirm that the product meets the manufacturer's original specifications before proceeding to the final quality control stage.

6. Troubleshoot potential issues not initially identified during the inspection process.


7. Operate required equipment safely, adhering to established safety regulations, maintaining a tidy work environment, following established tool and instrument control protocols, and reporting any unsafe practices or conditions to the immediate supervisor.

8. Follow all work instructions and apply them effectively in real situations.

9. Comply with all safety policies and procedures.

10. Consistently meet monthly targets.

11. Adhere to deadlines.

12. Ensure compliance with all relevant U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standards, and all other relevant laws, regulations, and standards.

13. Undertake additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

2. Electronic and/or Mechanical Certification or degree is preferred.

3. A minimum of four years of experience in Endoscopic Repair is required.

4. Proficiency in electronic and mechanical skills is essential.

5. Soldering skills and experience are required.

6. Ability to communicate professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.

7. Capable of investigating and resolving discrepancies.

8. Ability to research and analyze various types of information.

9. Strong prioritization skills.

10. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret essential job-related documents.

11. Competence in presenting and communicating effectively and professionally to organizational employees.

12. Ability to perform calculations and match figures accurately.

Physical Requirements:


While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, operate electronic or mechanical repair devices, exhibit fine motor skill dexterity, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate verbally.

The employee may occasionally need to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 20 to 30 lbs.

Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


Compensation:
For California, the base pay range for this position is $22.11 to $29.71 per hour. Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by various factors, including qualifications, education, prior experience, and location.

No travel is required.
