About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to join our team at Google Public Sector. As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and services.

Responsibilities
  • Adapt existing Google services to meet mission requirements
  • Design and develop Python code exposing APIs
  • Manage and debug multiple microservice containers running within Kubernetes
  • Interface between customer developers and internal engineering teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling
  • 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols
  • 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages
  • Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with cloud computing systems
  • Cybersecurity experience including both compliance and engineering
  • Experience in Full stack development
  • Experience working with Kubernetes
  • Excellent Cloud debugging skills including troubleshooting scalability and availability

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $161,000-$239,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
