Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant role is crucial in ensuring an exceptional patient experience during each visit. This position involves guiding patients throughout their appointments and actively addressing their needs. You will play a vital role in fostering trust and rapport between patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding care and customer service to every patient.
  • Welcome patients warmly and escort them to their examination rooms.
  • Establish meaningful connections with patients, ensuring they feel comfortable discussing sensitive issues and are well-informed.
  • Participate diligently in executing care plans and treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Administer medications safely, adhering to the treatment plans outlined by the Medical Providers.
  • Collaborate with providers and the patient experience team to enhance operational efficiency and reduce wait times.
  • Maintain a clean and professional clinical environment that meets high medical standards.
  • Celebrate patient achievements and motivate others to pursue positive lifestyle changes.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a valid license in South Dakota to administer and document medications as prescribed by a Physician, PA, NP, or APRN.

  • Experience with blood draws and injections is essential.
  • Self-driven team player eager to contribute significantly to a growing medical practice.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining safety and efficiency under pressure.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with both patients and medical staff.
  • A positive work ethic that inspires and models genuine, caring, and friendly behavior.
