Medical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at Huntsville Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to take on a new challenge and advance their career.
Job SummaryThe Medical Care Specialist will be responsible for planning, supervising, and evaluating the nursing care of patients. This includes correlating the nursing process with medical plans of care and policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities- Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
- Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice
- Promote patients' independence by establishing care goals and teaching self-care skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing
- A current license with the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Current BLS certification, with ACLS certification required within 6 months
- At least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment
We offer a competitive salary of $75,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
