Position Overview:
The Staff Registered Nurse at Northside Hospital plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing care. This position involves independently planning and executing nursing interventions based on physician directives and established protocols, while adhering to the standards set forth by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
The Staff RN is responsible for managing the care of a designated group of patients, ensuring that all practices align with the core values and policies of Northside Hospital.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
2. Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.
3. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
1. Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN licensure in Georgia without restrictions.
2. A minimum of 12 to 24 months of experience as a Registered Nurse.
3. Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
4. Additional cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) may be required based on the specific clinical unit.
PREFERRED:
1. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
2. National Certification in a Clinical Specialty is preferred.
3. Other desirable RN attributes may vary by unit; please refer to the specific clinical unit for details.
