Position Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for delivering direct personal care services to residents while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and residents' rights.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow the Resident Assessment and Care Plan for each resident.
- Provide skilled personal assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medications in accordance with state regulations and maintain accurate medication records.
- Monitor and document residents' health status, including any changes in behavior or condition.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the home, including laundry and meal preparation.
- Engage residents in individual activities that promote movement and mental stimulation.
- Participate in ongoing staff education and training sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Must be currently certified and in good standing as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Kansas. Successful completion of orientation and training programs is required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift heavy objects with assistance.
- Capable of bending, squatting, kneeling, and twisting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
