Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Detailer to join our team at Rescue Trade Repair. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our vehicles and ensuring they are presented in a showroom condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash and wax vehicles using high-pressure wash equipment and power tools.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all vehicle inventory on the dealership property.
  • Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Advise service advisors or sales managers immediately if additional work is needed.
  • Supervise work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Keep the shop area neat and clean and account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal.
Requirements
  • Prior detail technician experience is preferred but not necessary, as training will be provided.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information.
  • Excellent manual dexterity skills and an eye for detail.
  • Good judgment.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Working Conditions

Detail/Lot technicians work a 40-hour, five-day week with occasional overtime required and a rotational Saturday shift. They work indoors and outdoors in all seasons in a moist environment.

Although most shops are well ventilated, the work involves exposure to dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.

May be required to lift parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds several times during each shift.

They will also stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel.

They will use hand and power tools.

The Technician will be required to wear a dealership uniform at all times.

Compensation

Wage to be determined according to prior skills and whether the position is determined to be a full or part-time status.
