Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the general ledger, job cost accounting, profitability analysis, and other special projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger for monthly closing and reporting cycles, including preparation of all period-end journal entries.
  • Generate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, disposal, and depreciation.
  • Function as the backup for pay applications, report, and monitor accounts receivable.
  • Maintain bank accounts, including recording of daily cash activity, monthly bank transactions, and performing monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations, including reconciling sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
  • Research and reconcile all discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve job cost queries.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to the flow of information, month-end closing, project accounting, and management reports.
  • Prepare sales tax and property tax remittances.
  • Perform other financial and profitability analysis as required.
  • Develop expertise in SAP Business One and provide support to the team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong accounting and financial management skills.
  • Experience with general ledger management, job cost accounting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in SAP Business One or similar accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
