Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Postdoctoral Fellow in Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation to join our team at Tulane University. The successful candidate will provide early childhood mental health consultation services to children under the age of 6 years enrolled in early learning centers and family child care homes in Southern Louisiana and their childcare caregivers and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide early childhood mental health consultation services to children under the age of 6 years and their caregivers
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans for children and their families
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to provide consultation and training
  • Develop and implement reflective supervision, teaching, and training programs for childcare providers
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in infant and early childhood mental health consultation
Requirements
  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited program
  • Successful completion of an APA-accredited internship
  • Experience working with children and families in a clinical setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience participating as a member of an interdisciplinary team
  • Working knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices in child care
  • Experience in supervision and teaching
  • Experience with consultation to parents, educators, and child welfare staff
