About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist Lead to join our team at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. As a key member of our Operating Room team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical guidance and support to the OR team, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the OR Service Leader to analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement process changes to enhance patient care and team performance.
  • Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to OR team members, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with other clinical disciplines to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Expertise: Demonstrate advanced knowledge of aseptic and surgical techniques, as well as the ability to assess staff learning needs and capabilities.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) via NCCT.
  • Registration: Must be eligible for Surgical Technologist registration via Commonwealth of Virginia at time of hire; registration must be completed within 6 months of hire.
