Donation Attendant

At Evansville Goodwill Industries, Inc., we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Donation Attendant. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation of our store, maximizing revenue generation to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting donors and customers, answering basic questions, and assisting with merchandise donations.
• Sort and process donated goods according to company guidelines, ensuring accurate tracking and counting of donations.
• Load and sort materials in the store, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Assist in the training of team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
• Perform janitorial tasks as assigned, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to pass skills and knowledge assessment testing.
• Pass drug test and criminal background check.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, and pull. The employee must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and team lift or use equipment to aid in the lifting and movement of items over 40 pounds.

Working environment is indoors with occasional exposure to outside temperatures and occupational allergens.
