Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Support Engineer to join our team at Qualcomm. As a key member of our engineering services group, you will be responsible for providing design and development support for high-quality chipset power validation and integration into hardware development platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with hardware design engineers to test, troubleshoot, deploy, maintain, and support Qualcomm's platforms.
  • Conduct analyses to identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, and/or debug technical issues, including analog and/or digital applications.
  • Resolve technical issues raised by users of our platforms, either independently or in collaboration with adjacent teams.
  • Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure high-quality chipset power validation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, and to develop and implement solutions.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience with design, development, R&D, or similar experience in Electronics or related area.
  • Experience in a support role with excellent attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to debug electronic HW systems and reproduce complex issues.
  • Ability to operate test equipment, including power supplies, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office, and ability to work in a Linux environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or related field.
  • Certification in Electronics or related area.
  • 6+ years of experience with digital HW, SW, and/or analog RF troubleshooting and debugging.
  • 6+ years of experience in a lab environment.
