Key Responsibilities

Litigation Oversight:

  • The selected candidate should have a background in defending and conducting depositions of liability and damages experts, parties, and factual witnesses, as well as participating in court hearings, mediations, and trial preparations.

Legal Research and Evaluation:

  • Execute thorough legal research on pertinent federal statutes, regulations, and precedents to bolster case arguments and strategies.
  • Interpret and analyze laws, rulings, and legal opinions to provide precise and timely guidance to clients.

Client Engagement:

  • Maintain consistent and effective communication with clients, updating them on case progress, strategies, and potential outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to collect essential information and evidence for case development.

Negotiation and Resolution:

  • Participate in settlement discussions when suitable, striving for favorable resolutions for clients while adhering to the highest ethical standards.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with fellow attorneys, paralegals, and legal personnel to ensure the effective implementation of legal strategies and provide comprehensive client services.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
  • Active membership in the Florida State Bar and eligibility to practice in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
  • A minimum of 4-10 years of overall legal experience with a strong emphasis on litigation.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and litigating federal cases, including trials and hearings.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
