Salary Range
The expected salary range for this position is $89,100 to $99,000, contingent upon experience, along with a complete benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k) plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Purpose of Position
The Senior Financial Analyst will take charge of the daily management and oversight of operational and capital expenditures. This role will facilitate precise planning, reporting, and analysis of business operations, encompassing complex fleet-wide projects. The individual will be expected to respond to ad hoc inquiries from various internal and external stakeholders, providing essential insights to executives, managers, and departmental leaders. Flexibility, proactivity, and the ability to navigate ambiguity are crucial for success in this role, which may require extended hours.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting for management concerning significant capital and operational cost drivers. Collaborate with team members to monitor and manage expenses. Forecast performance relative to objectives, plans, and budgets, and integrate a financial perspective into daily operations. Prepare and review month-end, quarterly, and annual forecasts/reports, including executive reporting packages and monthly financial close documentation.
- Lead the monthly financial closing process, ensuring all necessary reporting is provided to corporate and site management. Guarantee compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies, while preparing various periodic reports to convey performance metrics in areas such as contracted services and overtime.
- Develop and maintain the long-term financial strategy.
- Review and process capital and project request proposals, while monitoring and reporting on project expenditures.
- Execute cost reporting, including planning and tracking.
- Perform periodic ad hoc reporting and analyses as required.
- Collaborate with management to mentor and oversee the work of junior financial analysts, providing training and guidance as necessary. Undertake complex special projects as requested by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience demonstrating success in finance or business operations.
- Strong financial analysis capabilities, coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with accounting principles, financial metrics, and the relationships between financial statements.
- Working knowledge of business operations and industry practices.
- Proficient in computer-based analytical tools (e.g., Access, Excel, PowerPoint, database management).
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or CPA designation.
- Expertise in PeopleSoft and financial systems.
